Following an exciting few months of weekly Asia primetime events, ONE Championship stacked the deck for its biggest edition of ONE Friday Fights in 2024. As such, let’s unpack everything that transpired at ONE Friday Fights 58: Superbon vs. Grigorian II on Friday, April 5.
For the most part, the spotlight for the event was on top-ranked contenders and longtime rivals Superbon Singha Mawynn and Marat Grigorian. Set to collide in an epic showdown for the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title, the two engaged in a very violent chess match in the main event.

Notably, the card also featured the likes of former eight-time ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama, two-division Muay Thai World Champion Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, four-time Muay Thai World Champion Seksan Or Kwanmuang, and more of the ONE Championship’s biggest superstars.
How did Superbon Singha Mawynn vs Marat Grigorian II play out?
Coming into the main event of ONE Friday Fights 58, there were a lot of expectations from both fighters to redeem themselves. Previously, Superbon Singha Mawynn fell short of two-sport glory with a majority decision loss to ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai. On the other hand, Marat Grigorian was looking to avenge his loss against Superbon back in 2022. Thus, both fighters had a lot on the line in what was essentially a trilogy fight.
Notably, in their very first meeting in 2018, Marat Grigorian had managed to knock out Superbon within just 29 seconds at the Kunlun Fight World MAX Tournament. With the tie at one apiece, both fighters came out of the gates extremely strong for this one at ONE Friday Fights 58. As such, Superbon dominated the early proceedings, letting his hands fly and clearly taking Rounds 1 and 2.

Thereafter, we saw a dangerous rally back from his Armenian opponent, setting us up for a grandstand finish. Despite being gassed from Marat’s relentless pressure, Superbon managed to chip away with teeps to the body. Although there were a few clinch warnings, the Thai former champ did just enough to sway the judge’s decision. With that, he is now the Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship.
