WWE has given a wonderful platform for many people to bring out the best of their personalities. While Dwayne The Rock Johnson and John Cena are undoubtedly two of the top names to ever exist, CM Punk doesn’t fall behind in leaving his footprints in the wrestling industry. In fact, he holds a record that no other star possesses.
CM Punk’s unique record came to the limelight after Chris Van Vliet shared a picture on his official account on X. “CM Punk is the only wrestler to win the World Championship in WWE, AEW, Ring of Honor and ECW,” he additionally wrote.

Punk has held almost all the top Championships in all the promotions that he has worked for. His name also put him in top rivalries with stars such as John Cena and Jeff Hardy. The villainous character that he played inside the ring went very well with the audience, making him one of the greatest to do so.
CM Punk has performed in various promotions and left an impeccable mark on each of them. Looking at his professional wrestling journey till now, the best days of his career came from WWE. The Stamford-based promotion gave Punk the recognition that was required to establish his career.
CM Punk’s pro wrestling career outside of WWE
CM Punk began his wrestling journey in 1999, along with his brother and friends. He performed under various rings, but his first major journey began when he joined the Ring of Honor in 2002. Spending and growing himself in the next four years, The Cookie Monster developed a flair for wrestling. Along with ROH, Punk was often seen in TNA (now Impact Wrestling).
However, as every aspiring professional wrestler looks at it, he finally made his way to the WWE. He was signed to OVW in 2005. The next decade saw an industry chart-breaker emerge from the crowd. Punk gathered a huge sect of fans during this period and impressed them with his personality.

Following a rivalry with Vince McMahon and the management, CM Punk took his leave from the company. He later joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2021, bringing the company huge profits. Carrying on with his old persona and nature, he gained popularity all across the globe. However, his contract came to an end after he got involved in backstage heat in September 2023.
