Hollywood sensation Dwayne Johnson finally made his long-awaited return to WWE on last week’s SmackDown, and it was one of the most electrifying moments ever. The Brahma Bull showing up at a weekly show was really unexpected, and that’s why it left everyone in the crowd really shocked.
With Dwayne making a return, rumors about a potential WrestleMania 40 match against Roman Reigns have again caught fire, as people feel he’ll replace The Tribal Chief by ending his historic title run. While fans’ feel The Rock will dethrone Roman, Rhea Ripley certainly doesn’t agree.
In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, The Eradicator made a huge claim, as she shared that another WWE star will replace The Head of Table. The performer is none other than Rhea’s Judgment Day stablemate and the men’s MITB briefcase holder, Damian Priest.

Showing her confidence about Priest, the Women’s Champion said, “I think he is ready to take Roman’s spot. Damian is ready for anything, I have known this man pretty much the entire time that I’ve been in NXT. I think this guy is the limit, if he wants to get whatever gold he wants I think he can do it.”
Alongside her huge claim that Damian is ready to replace Roman, Mami also shared how she and Priest had a similar journey in WWE. The Eradicator also claimed that she knows what the Archer of Infamy is capable of achieving. The way Rhea showed belief in her faction mate, it seems that she’s highly confident that he’ll achieve greatness in the future.
Can Damian Priest really reach the level of Roman Reigns?
Rhea Ripley may have claimed that Damian Priest is ready to take Roman’s spot in WWE, but a lot of people wonder if that’s really possible. Fans may feel that Priest dethroning Roman might be too far of a possibility, but there’s another way to make it happen.
As everyone knows, Priest is the current MITB briefcase holder, and thus he has an opportunity to challenge any WWE champion anywhere. This gives the Archer of Infamy an extra edge over any other challenger, as he can come out to cash in his contract whenever he wants to.
Due to this MITB contract, there’s a high possibility that instead of challenging Roman, Damian can decide to use his briefcase against the World Heavyweight Champion, and eventually win the title. In this way, he could reach the same level as The Tribal Chief, and it’s probably the best way for him to attain title gold in the future.
Currently, Priest is enjoying his run with The Judgment Day as he’s the Undisputed Tag Team Champion with Finn Balor. With the Archer of Infamy still having a lot of time to use his contract, it’ll be interesting to see when he’ll cash it in and, most importantly, on whom he will cash in his MITB briefcase.
