WWE Legend Rey Mysterio may not have been able to defeat his LWO teammate Santos Escobar to win an opportunity to challenge Austin Theory’s U.S. Title. But The Luchador has still managed to be in the headlines due to his recent activities.
All this started after Rey Mysterio was seen being involved in a conversation with a popular professional wrestler during WWE’s recent Mexico tour. In a Digital Exclusive video shared by WWE on their Twitter handle on July 22, Rey Mysterio was seen with Mexico-based NXT performer Dragon Lee.
As soon as the video got uploaded, fans took note of the interaction between these two performers and started sharing speculations. A lot of fans believe Rey Mysterio has found the newest member of his faction, LWO, in the form of Dragon Lee, ahead of WWE SummerSlam. It must be noted that LWO (Latino World Order) is a popular stable on WWE SmackDown. It already consists of performers such as Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, and Zelina Vega, and the addition of Dragon Lee to the stable can turn out to be fantastic, both for the stable as well as for Dragon Lee himself.
Rey Mysterio to make his way to WWE NXT and may cost Dominik Mysterio the North American Championship
After just over a week of Rey Mysterio’s interaction with Dragon Lee, the Mexican pro wrestler made his presence felt on WWE NXT. On the most recent episode of NXT on August 1, it was announced that Dragon Lee would challenge Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominik Mysterio, for his North American Championship.
Dragon Lee’s match against Dominik Mysterio for the North American title will take place on Next week’s NXT episode. But the interesting part is that Dominik’s father, Rey Mysterio, will also make his way to WWE NXT and will remain on ringside throughout the encounter. This was revealed by Rey himself through video footage during Dominik and Dragon Lee’s interaction segment.

After helping Dominik Mysterio win the North American title from Wes Lee on NXT’s July 18 episode, Dominik’s Mami, Rhea Ripley, has helped him in all of his title defenses from the ringside. But Rey Mysterio’s ringside presence during Dominik Mysterio’s next title defense will probably not let that happen.
It seems that Dominik will have to bring his top game to regain his title against Dragon Lee, as Rey Mysterio’s presence on NXT may cost hum the North American Championship. Whether Dominik can retain his North American title without any assistance from Rhea Ripley or not will be interesting to see.
