The past few months have not been too kind for Tyler Herro. Many NBA fans should certainly be aware that the young star has been the focal point of trade discussions that the Miami Heat were attempting to engage in for the acquisition of Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers.
Although the Blazers had made it clear that they were not interested in Herro, several trade rumors and reports kept getting pushed forward, which likely means that the Heat was perfectly fine with trading away Tyler if it meant getting Lillard.
Since no trade has materialized as of now, one can only imagine the relationship between Herro and Heat management. However, the latest reports seem to indicate that Herro looks quite locked in and ready for the upcoming season. Let us take a closer look and find out more.
Tyler Herro was spotted working out at a Miami Heat training camp
Many NBA fans were initially under the assumption that Herro was on the verge of being traded for Damian Lillard. All the noise certainly had some impact on him for a while. However, now that these trade talks have come to a halt, it appears that Herro is eager to get back.
Those who witnessed the Heat’s run to the NBA Finals last year will remember that Herro was sidelined for most of the postseason. He injured his hand in the Heat’s first-round matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks and didn’t return for the remainder of the playoffs.
Tyler Herro had a considerably long offseason when compared to the rest of his squad. Therefore, he has been using this extra time well and has been getting into shape. According to a recent report from the Miami Heat, Tyler appears to be training very hard. So much so that the Heat predict a breakout season next year.
No bullshit.. this is the hardest Herro has ever grinded in the off season

Although it is good to see Herro focus on his craft, some fans lamented the fact that this change has been noticed only after he has been involved in trade talks, “Sucks it takes for him to be in real trade talks for him to finally take it seriously.”

In Tyler’s defense, we have no way of knowing whether these trade talks motivated him to work out extra hard in this long offseason. In any case, we look forward to seeing how he performs this upcoming NBA season.
