The NFL teams never fail to surprise the fans and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did the same recently. In October, the team shocked everyone when YouTube sensation MrBeast ran out on the field with the Buccaneers. It happened during the team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. However, now the YouTube star has finally revealed the truth behind that incident.
Jimmy Donaldson, popular as MrBeast, recently posted a video “$1 vs $10,000,000 Job!” on YouTube. The video was about how he can have different salaries for different jobs. In the video, he showed the job as an NFL player as the most lucrative of all, paying him $10 million.
“The job that pays $10 million per year. I’m about to literally join the NFL… Here I’m signing a real contract to become a literal player for the Buccaneers worth $10 million… So, for the next 48 hours, I’m officially a player… By the end of my contract I’m going to be running out with the team on the field in front of 60,000 fans,” he said.
In the video, MrBeast met the Buccaneers’ General Manager Jason Licht. With him, he signed a $10 million contract to be on the team for 48 hours. It’s worth noting that he didn’t actually get the money as they canceled the contract within 48 hours. However, the YouTube star got to experience an NFL player’s life quite well with the Bucs.
It undoubtedly confused everyone when the 25-year-old YouTuber entered the field with QB Baker Mayfield. However, the recent video must have cleared all the doubts about that incident.
MrBeast had a video-calling session with Tom Brady
The contract of MrBeast with the Buccaneers might have been fake, but he got to experience everything for real. Born in May 1998, Jimmy Donaldson met the team’s HC Todd Bowles as well. Not just that, the YouTuber had a great time with the team’s players as well on the field. However, the best moment was when he had a video chat with NFL legend Tom Brady.
In the video, he showed how he called the 7-time Super Bowl champion and chatted with him. Brady, for his part, seemed quite happy while talking to the Kansas-born YouTuber as well. It’s worth noting that the star quarterback played for the Bucs for 3 years and won a Super Bowl with them as well.
Apart from calling Tom Brady, MrBeast had a weight training session with the team as well. After that, he went onto the field and met all the players. The YouTube star even had a mock press conference as well for the video. All this shows how he got to live the life of an NFL player quite well for his video shoot. As for the fans, they found the video quite interesting as it has already crossed 4.6 crore views in less than 24 hours.
