In the April 19, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown presented several interesting segments and top-notch matches. However, there’s something that caught the attention of the fans. During the episode, a fan favorite, Superstar, was seen bleeding profoundly and it’s none other than Kevin Owens.
During the beginning of the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Solo Sikoa was seen asking Paul Heyman to take him to Kevin Owens. While KO tried to fight back, he was further attacked by Sikoa and Tonga. However, later, medical personnel rushed out to take care of Owens. Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that KO’s condition on SmackDown not only indicates his involvement in The Bloodline storyline but also marks the end of the PG era.
For the unknown, the PG era referred to the era when WWE introduced many changes for the programming to be viewable by younger fans. These changes include the reduction of excessive violence, obscene language, and many more. Also, as a result of toning down excessive violence, the use of blood was a restricted measure on WWE television.

However, lately, WWE has been showcasing violence and the use of blood. Previously, The Rock smashed Cody Rhodes and made him bleed, and now Tama Tonga has made Kevin Owens bleed. Thus, it seems Triple H is bringing the hardcore WWE back. Also, the PG era of WWE might be officially over. However, it is worth noting that the product is still rated PG-13 on TV, which indicates that the company is not turning away from making family-friendly content entirely.
Meanwhile, after the thrashing Owens received from The Bloodline, it remains to be seen if he has sustained any severe injuries or not. Also, fans will look forward to seeing what other restrictions from the PG era will be broken going forward.
