The former Light Heavyweight Champion Jamahal Hill, is among the top fighters in MMA history. However, fans were disheartened when he had to forcibly relinquish his title a couple of months ago because of the serious injury.
Hill, also known as ‘Sweet Dreams’, suffered from a severe injury in July 2023. As per reports, Hill is still recovering from it. However, it seems like it won’t take a long time, as he’s quite confident and excited for his UFC return.
Hill has recorded and shared a video recently on Instagram where he expressed his opinion on the upcoming title fight at the UFC 295 event. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed the fight card in his latest interview, where he revealed that Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic are no longer the sole title fights taking place at the next event.
White officially announced the fight between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka will take place for the vacant light heavyweight title at UFC 295.

To those who might not know, Jiri Prochazka is also a former Light Heavyweight Champion. However, he had to give up his title due to an injury.
Hill in his video voiced out that he’s quite excited for the upcoming bout between the two former champions. He claimed, “These are both, both guys that I was, that I wanted to see…both come with pretty big followings, exciting styles and fights that people want to see…it gives people a show that they want to see. So there are definitely two fighters that I wanted to meet in my reign as champion. And I do still plan to meet upon my return”.
According to him, he always wanted to fight those two fighters when he was holding the title. Although, he never got a chance. Now, Hill has mentioned his desire to fight Poaton and Czech Samurai on his return. After this news, fans are extremely excited and waiting for Hill’s return to the UFC.
When did Jamahal Hill get injured and how?
Jamahal Hill, earlier this year in July 2023 revealed that he had ruptured his Achilles. He took part in a basketball game at the UFC’s international fight week, where he met an unexpected incident. He announced on the social media platforms, “I’ve ruptured my Achilles. It’s one that will require surgery and time and rehab and things to be out for a while”.

Hill won the title in January 2023 by defeating Glover Teixeira. The title was vacant because Jiri Prochazka, who was holding the title at that time, was away from fighting because of a severe injury, giving up on his title in November 2022.
Hill also shared a video after the injury in which he claimed that he’d be back fighting once he fully recovered. And now that fans have once again heard from Hill, when do you think he’ll be making his return to the UFC Octagon? Do let us know in the comments.
