Jamahal Hill takes a page out of Ilia Topuria’s book as he changes his Instagram bio to “13-0 Undisputed UFC LHW Champion of the World.” Needless to say, Hill’s move will remind many of Ilia Topuria, who proclaimed himself as the UFC Featherweight Champion weeks ahead of his title fight against Alexander Volkanovski last weekend at UFC 298.
The antics and trash-talk worked out for Topuria, who picked up a KO win over Volkanovski to become the new featherweight champion of the world. Topuria did many things for his documentary, which he said would come out anytime soon.

As for Jamahil Hill, it appears to be a move to catch Pereira’s attention and get under his head.

Dana White announced immediately following UFC 298 that Jamahil Hill will return to the UFC Octagon after vacating his LHW title following a career-threatening Achilles injury.
Hill won the light-heavyweight title after defeating Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 in January last year. It makes for an exciting storyline as Teixeira’s teammate and friend, Alex Pereira, looks to defend his gold against Sweet Dreams in what promises to be a striking battle between both fighters.
Hill is 12-0 in his mixed martial arts career, with notable wins over Ovince Saint-Preux, Glover Teixeira, and Thiago Santos. The sole loss of his MMA career came against Paul Craig, where he lost the fight via TKO after a dislocated shoulder during the fight.
The American fighter has been on a spectacular run and is known for his vicious knockout power. Whether or not he can stand and band with one of the most ferocious strikers the world of combat sports has ever seen, only time will tell.
