Miami Dolphins fans are holding their breath as star cornerback Jalen Ramsey faces an uncertain future following a knee injury. It was ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who first broke the news. He revealed that Ramsey would be undergoing knee surgery after suffering an injury during training camp.
Subsequent confirmation from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero shed light on the extent of the damage. He stated that Jalen Ramsey had sustained a meniscus injury and could be sidelined for six to eight weeks. His teammates, including safety Jevon Holland, expressed their concern for the star player’s well-being.
After some time, it was reported that Jalen Ramsey would need to undergo surgery. The cornerback then posted a tweet on Twitter. In that tweet, he mentioned that he’d come back “stronger than ever”.

“I’ll be back on that field stronger than ever… in due time! This SO minor for God’s child! I trust fully & know He got me! I’m forever grateful to worship His name! I know my brothers gone hold it down until I’m back tho,” Ramsey wrote.
The incident reportedly occurred on the second day of training camp. It brought the practice to a halt as Jalen Ramsey was carted off the field to the locker room. The injury happened during an intense 11-on-11 session, with Ramsey colliding with WR Tyreek Hill while defending a pass play.
Now, the Dolphins must brace themselves for the potentially significant absence of one of their key defensive assets. It’d be worth watching how the team performs keeping his potential absence for an extended period in mind.
When did Jalen Ramsey join the Miami Dolphins?
Jalen Ramsey, who joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in his rookie season in 2016, has recently joined the Miami Dolphins. The star cornerback has been impressive throughout his NFL career of seven years until now. Ramsey was with the Los Angeles Rams before signing a contract with the Dolphins in March of this year.
The Miami Dolphins were reportedly already in search of a good cornerback, and they found it in Jalen Ramsey. He’s undoubtedly among the top cornerbacks of all time in the NFL, which makes his selection quite obvious. The team traded Ramsey in from the Los Angeles Rams and reports suggest that his salary has also been guaranteed.
According to reports, the contract between Jalen Ramsey and the Dolphins is for three years. The contract is worth a huge $55 million and $35.5 million of it is guaranteed. After joining the team, Ramsey mentioned that Miami is “the best group” he has been with till now.
