CM Punk is a multi-talented personality and a fan-favorite Superstar. He was previously a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Since 2021. However, he was recently terminated by the Tony Khan-led promotion in September 2023, due to a backstage altercation.
It’s been quite some time since CM Punk took his departure from AEW. Meanwhile, recently, a $3 Million rich Hollywood star has revealed the true reason behind The Second City Saint leaving AEW. Not only that, he has also exposed the Tony Khan-led promotion. The Hollywood star in question is none other than O’Shea Jackson Jr.
O’Shea Jackson Jr. recently took his ‘X‘ handle to make a huge post. He initially talked about Punk becoming a part of AEW. Then exposing the promotion he wrote, “Punk sees it’s a fu*kin asylum run by the patients. Calls people out on their sh*t. Calls them children (btw that’s their whole story line now) They don’t like that he doesn’t wanna be a part of their fraternity.”
He was hurt by Vince. Vince’s decision making and politics. Leaves.
A company starts because people are tired of the “same ol Shit”. They get punk. Life is sweet. Tells AEW he’s happy to be back and he’d never leave which I’m sure he didn’t think he would have to.

Jackson then mentioned how Punk answered the call when he got called out by “another guy on AEWs biggest ppv ever“. He added that it led to him getting fired from the company and thereafter “getting dragged publicly“.
Meanwhile, toward the end of the post, the Hollywood star stated that Tony Khan “should’ve kept him”. This post has triggered wrestling fans, who were long waiting to know the real reason behind Punk’s departure from AEW.
CM Punk signs a new deal with WWE
CM Punk was previously a part of WWE from 2005 to 2014. Thereafter, he became a member of the AEW roster, where he performed for two years. Meanwhile, after his departure from the Tony Khan-led promotion, Punk has once again signed a new deal with the Stamford-based promotion.
During the closing moments of WWE’s latest pay-per-view event, Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk made his return to the company. He walked out to arguably the loudest pop of the night, thus making the fans go crazy.
Thus, it seems popular Hollywood star O’Shea Jackson Jr. revealing the real reason why Punk left AEW has not disappointed Punk’s fans. Since. they will now get to see their favorite superstar making regular appearances in the largest wrestling promotion in the world.
