All Elite Wrestling (AEW) had one of its best pay-per-views ever! The event featured 11 matches in total, and all of them had the fans on the edge of their seats throughout the night. The Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita match was hailed by many on social media as the potential ‘match of the year.’ However, all the headlines belonged to the main event between Sting and Darby Allin vs. The Young Bucks. While it was Sting’s retirement match, Darby Allin’s stunt has become the point of discussion.

Allin, who is known for taking risks in the ring, took a massive bump in the recently concluded PPV. At one point in the match, the 31-year-old climbed up a ladder and jumped into a glassboard outside the ring. The bump looked dangerous, and as the fans saw it, Allin started to bleed from his back, and his hand immediately afterward. Despite that, Allin finished the match as Sting applied his signature Scorpion Death-Lock on Nick Jackson to retain the AEW Tag Team Championships.
Was Darby Allin injured at AEW Revolution 2024?
Legendary WCW and WWE star Sting retired at the age of 64 after spending almost 40 years of his life wrestling. Most of the time, stars put over the younger wrestler on their way out. However, Sting was one of the rare superstars who got to have a win on his way out. So it was quite a bittersweet experience for the AEW fans in attendance. Despite a tearjerker of an ending, the match was filled with exciting action, and the Darby Allin spot will be discussed for a long time to come.
However, fans are also questioning whether the Swanton bomb off the ladder into the glassboard injured Allin or not. Right after the spot, the glass cut right into Allin’s skin, and he immediately started to bleed. Despite that, he did not stop and took quite a few bumps afterward as well. The query naturally arose as to whether the American wrestler was injured or not. Good news for the fans, he seems to be doing fine after the event!

In the post-match press conference, Allin had an update on his body. He added, “I just wanted to let people know I’m still alive.”
After the event, Sting called the match one of the top 3 matches of his career, and AEW CEO Tony Khan called it the best night in the history of AEW. So all in all, the PPV seems to be a massive success for both the company and the wrestlers involved. On top of that, Darby Allin seems to be healthy as well after the match, which is the cherry on top.
