Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets quarterback, is already 40 but hopes to play for a few more seasons. Rodgers always makes headlines for his off-the-field activities, and recent quotes again put him under the spotlight. Rodgers began playing football at Pleasant Valley High School in his hometown.
After graduating from high school, he moved to Butte College in 2002. However, he stayed at the college for just one season and then moved to the University of California. In his freshman season with Butte, Rodgers scored 26 touchdowns and recorded a 10-1 record with the team.
By joining the 2003 California Golden Bears, he made some outstanding contributions to the team. In 2005, Rodgers made his dream move to the NFL after being picked by the Green Bay Packers. With the Packers, he registered 5,001 passes from 7,660 attempts, covered 59,005 yards, and 475 touchdowns.
Rodgers spent 18 years of his NFL career with the Packers, where he enjoyed a golden time, and his stats and performance made him an icon of the franchise. In Packers Jersey, he won the only Super Bowl title and Super Bowl MVP in his career. In 2023, the player moved to the New Year’s Jets after calling an end to 18 years of football with the Packers.

Many would have thought that Rodgers would hang his helmet before the beginning of the season. But the quarterback came up with some other ideas, as Rodger claimed he was hoping to continue to play.

Rodgers, during an interview with John Breech of CBSSports.com, said, “I got back on the practice field late in the season and couldn’t get to a top speed sprinting, but really been in a good place rehab-wise, from the start and feeling really good.”
Rodgers added, “I’m hopeful I can play two or three or four more years, but you need to have some good fortune in there to.” Therefore, if the quarterback can get fit within time, then his fans will get another chance to enjoy the star dominating the field for a couple more seasons.
Aaron Rodgers’ injury last season
After 18 years of a beautiful spell with the Packers, the quarterback moved to the Jets, expecting to continue his legacy in a new city in the nation. Sadly, his fans’ expectations went underwater only in the first game, as he had a season-ending injury on the first matchday of the week against the Buffalo Bills.
Rodgers tore his Achilles in that fixture and spent the whole season on the sidelines. In that game against the Bills, he made a single sack and attempted one pass. To return to the field, the 40-year-old is currently going through a recovery session, and his good progress has given aspirations to spectators.
