Ian Garry seems to have found a home in Chute Boxe Academy. After getting ousted from Team Renegade in the UK, Garry wasted no time and relocated to Brazil.
He has been preparing for his upcoming fight at the Chute Boxe Academy, and looking at his recent comments, it’s safe to say the Machado family will stay in Brazil for a while. And I don’t think that’s going to be a problem for Ian Garry, who can speak Portugese and has a Brazilian wife.
“The team here, the people here, it’s so special, and it’s hard to hold back emotions at the end when you’ve got 60 people in a room locked arms saying the Lord’s Prayer and then just wishing you the best of luck the best of success, it’s, it’s special. It’s emotional, it’s powerful, and it’s exactly, it’s exactly why I love Brazil and why I’m going to live and die here.” He said during an episode of UFC Embedded.
Ian Garry takes on #8 ranked Geoff Neal on the main card of UFC 298 this weekend in Anaheim, California. A win against Handz of Steel puts him straight into the top-10 in the welterweight division.
Charles Oliveira believes Ian Garry will beat Geoff Neal at UFC 298
On UFC Embedded, Do Bronx shared his thoughts on Ian Garry and showed confidence in his skills to emerge victoriously this weekend.
“I think Ian is one step ahead of his opponent. Ian is very aware. He fights calm, with composure. I believe we will come out victorious.” Charles Oliveira said.
Ian Garry is 13-0 in his MMA career. Can he beat Geoff Neal this weekend at UFC 298? It’s not an easy guess. Neal is tough, charges forward and carries huge power in his punches.
While that does sound like a stylistic match-up for Ian Garry, who like to keep his compsure and rely on counter-punches to hurt his opponents, it will be easier said than done.
