WWE completed 30 years of Monday Night RAW this January and in order to celebrate the occasion, multiple WWE legends made their returns. Despite The Undertaker walking to the ring in his American Bad*ss gimmick, it was his segment with Bray Wyatt that was able to get the fans talking the most.
Back in January, Bray Wyatt was involved in the storyline with LA Knight. The latter was in the ring bringing out the extreme end of his heel persona as he thrashed The Deadman. Soon LA started walking backstage, only to be stopped by Bray Wyatt on the ramp. LA was then held by The Undertaker for a chokeslam before he passed him to Bray Wyatt for a Sister Abigail.
Before walking out of the ring, The Undertaker whispered something to Bray Wyatt which remained a mystery until The Deadman revealed the same. While Speaking to Sportsnet, The Undertaker said, “I just let him know too that my phone’s always on“. He ensured that The Fiend always had someone to go to.
The Undertaker and Bray Wyatt have a similar character in the ring and the former offered his support to Wyatt. “If he needs to talk to me about things or run things by me, that’s cool,” he also told Bray in the ring at RAW is XXX. This reveals how much The Deadman held Bray Wyatt in high regard.
Bray Wyatt could have been The Undertaker’s perfect successor
Looking at the general in-ring persona of Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker, there were many similarities between the two stars. The two stars came to the major limelight with their best gimmicks which revolved around dark personas. The Undertaker’s ‘Deadman’ gimmick shone out as the brightest one amongst all the other gimmicks.

Similarly, Bray Wyatt left a massive impact in the minds of wrestling enthusiasts with his ‘Fiend’ character. Both the stars had the power to captivate the fans with their limited appearances. Their iconic segment of RAW 30 will remain in the hearts of WWE fans forever. Who knew that Bray would leave us all before making one final appearance in the ring?
Overall, it wouldn’t be incorrect to say that Bray Wyatt was the perfect man to carry forward The Undertaker’s legacy. His unfortunate demise has brought a lot of pain and emptiness to the WWE fans. Sky had been the limit for The Fiend had it not been for the cardiac arrest.
