Randy Orton is one of the cornerstones of the professional wrestling industry. He rose to prominence in the WWE, where he won countless championships and accolades. Over the course of his WWE career, Orton has reinvented himself and developed his character from time to time to keep up with the current product. The Apex Predator will forever be remembered as one of the greatest of all time in pro wrestling.
While the WWE Universe is not yet ready for Randy Orton to retire, he disclosed how he would like to hang up his boots. During his appearance on “The Kurt Angle Show” podcast, the 14-time world champion discussed many aspects of his career and legacy. Moreover, when he was asked how his era would end, Orton candidly opened up about how he would retire and his plans after retirement.
“You know, a lot of guys — I see them branching off and doing other things or making sure that they have something lined up for when they can’t wrestle anymore. I kind of, and I don’t know if this is showing my cards or not, I kind of see myself being with WWE for life. I don’t know why I would go anywhere else I mean, who knows what the future holds,” Randy stated.
He also mentioned he loves movies and sends in auditions for roles almost monthly. However, Orton made it clear that he is not trying to move to Hollywood and become a full-time actor like Dave Bautista or John Cena. He also talked about how Cena and Batista used WWE to jump ships to Hollywood. Furthermore, Randy concluded by declaring he is happy with his place in WWE right now.
Doctors have Advised Randy Orton against the WWE return
Randy Orton has been out of action for over a year now due to a career-threatening back injury. Following the injury, he had to undergo multiple surgeries. While the surgery was reportedly successful, Orton has to wait a little longer in the probation period for complete recovery.
Meanwhile, the latest update on his return has been provided by his father, WWE Hall of Famer, Bob Orton. He revealed that Randy is currently training, so it remains to be seen what happens. “I don’t know if he feels like going back, I think he might. Then again, he’s pretty well taken care of, I don’t think he needs to. I think the doctors have told him not to,” Bob Orton disclosed.
