SUMMARY
- After UFC 298, Dana White announces Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill for UFC 300 main event.
- UFC remains focused at storytelling through video platforms with series like UFC Countdown and Embedded.
There’s pressure building for Dana White from all sides as we move closer to the historic UFC 300. After the conclusion of UFC 298, White announced via Instagram that Alex Pereira would take on Jamahal Hill in his first defense of the 205-pound title in the main event of UFC 300 on April 13, later this year, inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Fans expect a massive build-up to the PPV and hope the UFC will bring back some old promotional videos, one in particular, like the promo for UFC 189 featuring Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo in the streets of Las Vegas.
UFC 300 will feature three Championship fights if we include the “BMF” title
UFC does a remarkable job with its video content on YouTube and other social media platforms. While the UFC has done away with so many of its previous video formats, including Preview and Extended Preview of upcoming UFC PPVs, it has remained loyal to most of the content that has now become a part of UFC’s storytelling.
From the Countdown to the UFC Embedded and Weight-In Show, Dana White-led promotion is just too damn good at promoting fights. However, in recent times, UFC’s ability to surprise UFC fans with their video packages has taken a hit. And the fingers are mostly pointed at UFC promos.
Dana White has massive plans for UFC 300
Dana White is willing to do anything to promote UFC 300, even if it means Prochazka and Hill, along with Gaethje, Holloway, and Oliveira, among others, have to walk in the streets of Las Vegas.

When asked at the UFC 298 press conference if UFC 300 could also feature the epic trailers, the magnitude of Aldo vs. McGregor at UFC 189, and UFC 200, Dana White said, “Now, I have to, now that you said it, I guess, I have to figure something out.”
With the who’s who fighting at UFC 300, it will be interesting to see the different directions the company will take to promote the historic event.
