Formula 1 has seen drivers going berserk on the tracks but it has only been two drivers who have successfully broken records and have reached the very top of the sport. Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher have both reached spectacular heights and achieved 7 world championships, but winning at such high levels comes with a price.
Lewis Hamilton has now become one of the most popular drivers in the sport thanks to his peculiar style and incredible driving which has achieved him so much. However, it was Michael Schumacher and his 90s style and the hunger to win came first. It was after joining Ferrari that the German took off in his career.
Michael Schumacher points fingers after having a lack of teammates
Michael Schumacher has gone completely off the grid after his immense success in F1 and all that he has achieved in the sport. After the tragic accident that he fell prey to, he has still managed to keep his name alive despite it all and has been one of the first drivers that anyone is compared to. However, his success came with a lot of disadvantages for him after winning two championships with Benetton.
Michael Schumacher has become a major name in the motorsport industry and is an idol to many. However, he watched trouble approach him when he could not get any competitive drivers to be his teammate. There is no doubt that the German’s achievements and the skills and craze for the sport got him five consecutive championships.

But as he went on to achieve more and more, the driver fell short of having any competition in the sport with many denying to ever driver alongside the beast despite the team asking was Ferrari. Ferrari has one of the best histories in the sport which has now brought them to the point of being paid to stay in F1. Nonetheless, many declined the offer only because of Schumacher.
He said in an interview, “Now when Ferrari wants a teammate, they look at the best option they can take. And it’s not me who is saying, ‘No I don’t want Coulthard’ or ‘I don’t want Villeneuve’ – it’s them who said, ‘No, I don’t want to drive next to Michael’. So what can I do?”
Schumacher had no other drivers wanting to compete with him in winning a championship while he got stuck with Jos Verstappen.
When Nelson Piquet unleashed his wrath on Schumacher
Michael Schumacher has been one of the hardest drivers to crack since his move to Ferrari. After being with the Monza team for such a long time, the driver became unstoppable and could barely stop himself from winning a race or a championship. However, his biggest rival was none other than Nelson Piquet who according to the German gave him quite a challenge.

He confirmed, “Piquet, for example, was very quick, and in fact, he beat me at Adelaide in qualifying and in Estoril, in the race, so I think there was a reasonable competition there. And he was quite angry – me arriving at the team at the expense of his friend Roberto Moreno.”
Schumacher confirmed although he enjoyed the competition, he came from a place of anger after he replaced his friend in the team.
