Both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are currently the top superstars in WWE. Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and rules the Smackdown brand division. Whereas, Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion and rules the RAW brand division of the promotion.
However, now it seems that Rollins has something to say about Roman Reigns. As per The Visionary, Reigns’ contribution to the WWE Championship is limited. That is what he meant when he appeared on the ‘After The Bell’ podcast. Seth claimed that the most significant difference between them is the perspective of the Championship.
Rollins said, “The one thing that I think kind of doesn’t get talked about or flies under the radar a little bit, and I don’t mean this as a knock on Roman’s schedule of choice or anything like that, but the actual visibility of the championships.”
“It almost feels like Roman Reigns is the Championship as opposed to Roman Reigns is the Champion. Whereas Seth Rollins is wearing the World Heavyweight Championship. I am representing the World Heavyweight Championship”

It is indeed true that the World Heavyweight Champion is seen all the time on WWE television, defending his Championship on the red brand, pay-per-views, and everywhere else. On the contrary, Reigns is hardly seen defending his Championship. Now that Rollins has compared their light and heavy schedules, it is to be seen if Reigns has something to add to this matter.
Future of Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in WWE
Being top Champions within the Stamford-based promotion isn’t the only type of relationship that the two stars share. They also have a history together. Both of them made their WWE Main Roster debut in 2012 as members of the faction ‘The Shield’. However, later, they chose to walk on their own paths and have been quite successful since then.
Now the question is what the future holds for the two superstars. After ruling for such a long time, both of them face an unpredictable future ahead.
Seth Rollins is all set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at the upcoming pay-per-view event, WWE Payback 2023. It is all set to take place on September 2, 2023.
Meanwhile, there’s no news about Roman Reigns. He previously faced Jey Uso at the last PPV event, where he emerged victorious. After that, he was seen on the following episode of SmackDown, where he was taken down by Jey Uso. With The Bloodline’s future in doubt, there’s also an atmosphere of uncertainty behind the future of Reigns.
It remains to be seen what The Tribal Chief’s next move will be when he makes an appearance in front of the WWE Universe. On the other hand, fans will wait in anticipation for The Visionary’s match against Nakamura.
