It was quite an emotional week for Henry Cejudo fans, who saw their favourite fighter miss the opportunity to address his fans in his alleged retirement fight at UFC 298. Cejudo dropped a unanimous decision loss against Merab Dvalishvili earlier this month but was dominated by the Georgian fighter, marking his second successive loss since returning to the Octagon.
At the time, Cejudo had said he would retire if he lost to Dvalishvili. However, Triple C has changed his plans and announced that he’s not retiring.
“I’m not leaving. The show goes on! I am not f***ing leaving. Saturday night was all or nothing for me; I meant it. Or Did I?” Cejudo said.
Fans react as Henry Cejudo takes a U-turn from retirement decision
Henry Cejudo has now lost two fights in a row. The former two-division champion looked out of touch in his last fight, getting dominated both on the feet and on the ground at UFC 298. Many fans advised Cejudo to stay retired, considering he is way past his prime, while others commented on the possibility of a possible losing streak for Cejudo.
This is why Dana didn’t give him his moment in the cage
