McGregor licked his lips and shrugged his shoulders continuously before answering the questions. Although his seemingly involuntary actions were slowly subsiding, it became a huge cause of concern for fans.
Concerned fans believe the grueling media tour caught up to Conor McGregor
An X account called Casual MMA posted the clip of McGregor and Gyllenhaal’s interview. The post has received over 18 million views and fans have provided a mixed bag of reactions. Some fans have continued to blame McGregor and his supposed drug addiction while many fans have defended the fighter.
One fan claimed that the media tour had caught up to him. They wrote, “I mean it could be, but we gotta keep in mind this has to be like the 100th interview he’s done for this movie, and the 100th time he’s been asked this question.”
Another fan wrote, “He looks burned out and maybe a little bored or annoyed. That’s a high energy wild hyper aggressive Irishman right there. Could be geeking too but not everything the dude does involves cocaine.”
A third fan wrote, “Idk it just seems like being on set for so many hours really wasn’t his thing. But he’s trying something new and I’m sure it’s not without anxiety.”
Many fans even blamed his fighting career for his actions. They thought that some of the hits he has taken throughout his career have resulted in this. They wrote, “Could just be brain damage from fighting.”
The theory about the media tour catching up to McGregor could well be true. He even talked about it during one of the interviews.
Conor McGregor claimed the media duties for Road House were “difficult” to complete
McGregor has been traveling around the world promoting his movie Road House. It is a remake of the 1989 movie of the same name. The action movie was recently released on Prime Video and received mixed reactions from fans and critics.
During his promotional trip to London, McGregor was interviewed by The Mac Life. He was asked about the media requirements to promote the movie.
McGregor said, “It’s tough, man… These tours are difficult. I’m the type of person that celebrates at the starting line. I get excited — we finished the first day of New York and then we still had four more days of New York, and then we still had to go to Texas and do four days. But we’re only after finishing one day and I get excited and start celebrating, then it’s tough to do it the next day. It’s just experience.”
As of now, McGregor has not opened up about another movie being lined up for him. So, his next agenda could well be a return to fighting at the UFC. Michael Chandler recently confirmed that he will be fighting McGregor in the summer. A confirmation from the UFC is all that’s left for the return of the Notorious.
