The WWE fame, ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan might have bugged out of his position of regular pro wrestling appearances. But the fans that he has earned in his career are everlasting and form his backbone. Going through multiple ups and downs in his life, the WWE Universe has struck him by his side, offering him support and love.
WWE legend Jim Duggan left his fans worried after he missed his event this weekend. For the past few years, Hacksaw has been battling numerous health conditions and any hospital visit leaves his fans anxious. His recent surgery was no different.

Sharing a picture of Jim lying on the hospital bed, Duggan’s wife, Debra, took to X to provide updates on his surgery. “Jim is resting comfortably. He is on the mend and will be back on his feet soon,” she wrote. Debra additionally thanked everyone for their good wishes and prayers. Hardly after the tweet went out, fans started pouring in their “get well soon” wishes to their WWE star.

Jim Duggan was to be honored by the Glens Falls Fighters Association, which decided to name September 8 as James ‘Hacksaw’ Duggan Day. However, owing to his declining health, he had to undergo emergency surgery. It was his wife, Debra, who broke the news of his successful surgery.
Jim Duggan battled cancer in 2021
In October 2021, Jim Duggan opened up for the first time about his prostate cancer. The following day, he underwent surgery. In almost a month, Jim overcame the life-threatening disease, and he announced the same on his official X handle.
However, this battle did not eliminate the slightest possibility of cancer returning. However, soon after, in May 2022, his cancer returned. His healing took a long time, and he had to visit the hospital for two months. Within these two months, Jim had to make five visits a week to the doctor. And after eight weeks, he finally rang the bell and marked the end of his cancer.

‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan has shown immense willpower in battling the health conditions that came his way. Through all the dark times, his close ones as well as his fans have always been his supporting pillars. Not only does he defeat his disease, but he also walks out in his best possible state. With his excellent record in the past, fans are very hopeful that he will return stronger after his current surgery.
