Without a doubt, Edge is one of the most decorated superstars in WWE history. There is no doubt in saying that the Ultimate Opportunist had a lot of fabulous moments throughout his 25-year-long run in the company. His exceptional heel work during the 2000s is still unmatched and might be difficult to top.
The Rated R Superstar made his shocking return to the company in 2020 after nine years due to various injuries. His last run in the company since 2020 was nothing short of phenomenal. Edge had a couple of matches with Randy Orton after his return, which proved to the world that he wasn’t done.

He had great feuds with a lot of generational talents like Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, and Finn Balor. He even won the 2021 Royal Rumble Match after entering the number one spot. Edge also went on to main event WrestleMania the same year with the likes of Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. There is no denying that Edge truly had a fantastic last run in WWE.
Edge certainly could not have asked for more. However, shortly after wrestling his final match in WWE against Sheamus, The Rated R Superstar ended his 25-year-long run with the Stamford-based promotion. There were rumors regarding the superstar’s retirement, and many speculated that he would finally retire from professional wrestling. He shockingly made his AEW debut at WrestleDream and gave people a lot to debate.

His move to AEW might be beneficial for him, as he achieved almost everything while in the WWE. But his remarks about his last run in the company were not as pleasing as they were expected to be.
Edge didn’t feel ‘Free’ in WWE
In the post-show press conference of AEW WrestleDream, Adam Copeland openly talked about his run for the WWE. He stated that he felt free while being part of the company and is looking forward to competing regularly. His comments have certainly started a war between a lot of fans over the internet.
Edge implying that he didn’t feel “free” in WWE is hilarious. He was given full creative control with TJD, went over talents like Rollins (2x), Balor, Priest, Styles, Jey Uso + won the Rumble on top of all of that.
But anyway, wish him all the best in AEW. #AEWWrestleDream pic.twitter.com/ZW3prsffJ4
