Sharabutdin Magomedov was in the spotlight in the latest episode of the Joe Rogan podcast. In the 150th episode of the JRE MMA show, Daniel Cormier and Joe Rogan discussed the fascinating story of the ‘Shara Bullet’.
The UFC commentators were in awe of the Russian martial artist. Cormier stated, “He is a savage though, are we talking about the Russian dude, OMG, he is a scary-looking dude.” Rogan followed it up by stating, “He is terrifying with one eye. Isn’t it crazy how good he can fight with one eye”?
Cormier heard Rogan and was shocked to hear that Magomedov was blind in one eye. Rogan was indeed telling the truth; the new UFC middleweight Sharabutdin Magomedov only has one working eye. ‘Shara Bullet‘ started losing vision in his right eye early in his career. As per reports, the fighter had eight surgeries in his eye before he lost complete vision in his right eye.
Joe Rogan added another layer to the story by commenting that the eye is the reason that Magomedov is fighting overseas. The Russian MMA athlete made his debut at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi. Many speculated that Magomedov made his debut outside the USA due to strict rules in the USA that wouldn’t allow him to fight with partial vision. The speculation was all but confirmed by Rogan in the podcast episode.

Sharabutdin Magomedov made his highly anticipated debut against middleweight striker Bruno Silva. The Russian MMA athlete entered the division with a record of ten knockouts in his 11 fights. The Dagestani holds a 90 percent knockout rate, which added excitement surrounding his debut.
The fighting style of Magomedov is opposite that of other Dagestani fighters in the UFC, which adds to the mystique of the fighter. In his debut, Magomedov fought the whole three rounds to earn a unanimous decision victory over Silva.
