UFC 300 is only a few sleeps away with the fight week formalities gradually getting checked off. One of the biggest constituents happens to be the pre-fight press conference. As such, it brought with it one of the biggest talking points from last night.
For those unaware, the UFC 300 press conference took place on Thursday evening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Seeing that there has been a lot of buzz about the UFC having a lot of surprises up their sleeves, it naturally had a lot of people tuning in for the event. As mentioned at the start of fight week, the monumental occasion once again called for a grand press conference.
Thus, all 26 fighters from the card were present for this one, and it made for a superb press conference as well. Despite some awful questions from the media members, Jamahal Hill brought the energy and hype that the press conference needed. Facing Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 300, Hill’s provocations brought froth the sort of energy fans expect from their headliners.
Dana White announces $300k bonuses for UFC 300
Arguably, the highlight of the night was UFC President Dana White’s willingness to agree to the fighters’ demands. Whilst Joaquin Buckley likely won’t get the main event slot for UFC’s trip to Saint Louis, other fighters will be feeling much more satisfied. In what was a rare sight to see, the UFC boss was seemingly in a very giving mood. Ahead of Saturday Night, White announced that the promotion will hand out $300,000 in bonuses
For the most part, the bonus is likely more than what some fighters will be making on the night. During fight week, many fighters had voiced their want for the same and it seems like it has paid off. With it being pointed out that the promotion awarded $100,000 bonuses at UFC 100, Dana asked the fighters how much they’d want to be paid this time around.

Naturally, the answer was a resounding ‘300’, to which the boss said, “300? It’s done!” Thus, we will now have $300,000 bonuses for two Performance of the Night and both fighters in the Fight of the Night. Not only that but the 54-year-old also granted Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway’s wish of having Mark Coleman present the BMF title at UFC 300.
Which fighters are most likely to win a $300,000 bonus at UFC 300?
By now, everyone is aware of the fact that UFC 300 will have 12 former champions, 7 pound-for-pound fighters, and 16 ranked fighters overall. Thus, it is by all means and purposes the biggest card in the history of the promotion. At the same time, it means that there will be tough competition amongst the fighters to make a case for being one of the few lucky winners of a $300,000 bonus on the night.
Firstly, as for the Fight of the Night winners, the obvious candidates would be Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway. With Gaethje having the highest bonus win percentage in UFC history, and with his war against Holloway set to be a fight for the ages, it is tough to look past this contest. At the same time, Jalin Turner vs Renato Moicano and Sodiq Yussuf vs Diego Lopes will be dark horses for this one.

Then, as for the two Performace of the Nigh bonuses, it is very likely that the winner of Alex Pereira vs Jamahl Hill will score a brutal KO win. As such, it would make that fighter along with the winner of Charles Oliveira vs Arman Tsarukyan, also touted to end by way of a finish, as the most likely candidates. At the same time, dark horses for this bonus at UFC 300 include, Jiri Prochazka, Kayla Harrison, Bo Nickal, and Deiveson Figueiredo.
