It comes practically down to Dana White whatever happens in the UFC. 2024 is shaping up to be a big year for the UFC. As UFC 300 is fast approaching and with all the other businesses the UFC CEO is involved with, Dana has become a very busy man.

But the 54-year-old is in surprisingly healthy shape, especially for his age. Despite his rigorous commitments and strenuous work schedule 24/7 all around the year, the bossman has managed to keep himself fit. In a recent podcast with the American football player Maxx Crosby, White opened up about his health struggles and other exclusive UFC stories.
Dana White says UFC 300 is the most anticipated event in UFC 300
Amongst other things discussed was the very much talked about UFC 300 event. UFC’s marquee event is scheduled to take place on April 13, 2024, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hence, with less than 2 months for the event to start, it sure was a talking point in the podcast. Crosby got to the point right away and asked Dana about UFC 300 straight up.
Dana replied, “You know, 100 was a big deal. 200 was a big deal. 300 is a big one for us. Right now. Every fight on the card could main event either a fight night or a pay-per-view.” Furthermore, talking about the quality of fights on the night, Dana gave an example of Cody Garbrandt vs Figueredo which was scheduled to be the first fight on the night. “That’s how good this card is,” he said.
All in all, he highlighted how high the level of fights on the Prelims and even the Main Card was going to be. When asked if UFC 300 had the potential to be the highest-grossing event in UFC history. White stated, “I don’t know about that… But it’s definitely the most anticipated. That’s for sure. I mean, I am just getting tortured right now for this main event.”
He further went on to talk about, “how hard this business really is to pull these fights together and to do a card like this”. And further explained it’s especially hard with all the other things that he is currently undertaking or involved in.
White answers what would the UFC be like if he retired
In the same podcast, the conversation later took a turn to Dana White’s health. Where the UFC head honcho talked about how great he was currently feeling at 54 years of age. And how his body was fit and healthy. During this conversation, Maxx Crosby asked him if Dana had any thoughts about retirement yet. To which Dana responded, “Retirement isn’t even a thought.”
Dana continued, “I feel like I’m 25 again. So if I keep feeling as healthy as I feel now, I can’t see a day where I don’t want to work anymore. I just don’t ever see that happening.” He then gave a straightforward statement to his haters. Saying, “It’s going to be a long time before I go away. Unfortunately, for some of you that want to see me disappear anytime soon, it isn’t going to happen.”
After this, one of Crosby’s co-podcasters talked about how Dana is the face of the UFC and has been ever since the company started more than two decades ago. He also claimed that it would feel very weird to see the UFC function without White at its helm.
“Well, the truth is, when I leave, if and when I leave, you know, UFC’s going to do, it will be different. It will be very different, especially the culture here. A lot of things will change about the UFC if I leave.” Dana White leaving the MMA organization is a scary thought to say nonetheless but the fans can breathe in a sigh of relief because it’s not happening anytime soon.
