Russian MMA fighters Khusein Askhabov and Khasan Askhabov have been arrested in Phuket, Thailand, for multiple crimes. Khusein and Khasan are twin brothers. Khusein made his UFC debut in February 2023. On the other hand, Khasan has never fought in the UFC yet. However, the brothers have an impeccable professional record. Khusein holds a record of 23-1, meanwhile, Khasan holds a record of 23-2.
The brothers, however, have had their fair share of controversies. Both of them have impressive fight records, additionally, their social media following is off the roof. Khusein has over 5 million Instagram followers, meanwhile, Khasan has around 5 million as well. Fans have previously questioned the legitimacy of their following and records.

The Russian fighters are now in jail in Phuket, according to The Phuket News. The outlet states that they have been arrested in connection with three Kazakh national men with the intent of prosecuting them with “the act of robbery done with cruelty to the extent that others receive it and endangering the body or mind through torture.”
It is alleged that they conspired with the three other men to rob the house of an Italian man. The brothers were not involved in the act of robbery. However, according to Asian MMA, the three men who were, “broke into a villa belonging to an Italian tourist and dragged him out of his bedroom before blindfolding him and gagging him.”
Phuket News claimed that the Italian Man and the Askhabov brothers had met each other a year ago. They had turned into acquaintances.

Khuseim is set to fight on UFC Fight Night against Daniel Pineda on October 7, 2023, in Las Vegas. No official communication has been released by the UFC yet. So, it is still unknown if the fight is on.
