Damian Priest has made massive progress inside the WWE ring ever since he became an integral part of The Judgment Day. While Priest stays in his dark persona on almost all occasions, there are times when he gets candid with his fans. In one such recent interview, he confessed to having paid a secret tribute to a WWE Hall Of Famer.
The WWE Universe is filled with many stories that leave fans in awe. Damian Priest too, recently made a similar confessions leaving fans bewildered. Speaking on WWE Tattooed, ‘The Archer of Infamy’ revealed the inspiration behind his tattoos. He revealed that one of his most popular tattoos has been dedicated to The Undertaker.
The thing goes back to the past, when Damian Priest had not yet begun his professional wrestling journey. Being a dire fan of The Undertaker, he decided to ink his symbol inside the skull tattoo on his upper arm. Soon after, he started working for the independent circuit.
The Judgment Day member also revealed that The Undertaker was unaware of his tribute. “He knows I’m a big fan of his, and I’m sure he knows by now he’s the reason I even fell in love with this business,” said Damian Priest. Just like any other fan, Damian gets awestruck at meeting his favorite star and starts stuttering.
Why did Damian Priest cover his tattoo dedicated to The Undertaker?
Ever since Damian Priest confessed to having The Undertaker’s symbol engraved on his arm, fans are curious to know why he covered it later on. Back in time, Damian Priest had hardly stepped into the wrestling business. Looking up to The DeadMan pushed him to adopt the life of the same industry. Being so moved by the WWE legend, he went ahead to ink his symbol inside a skull on his arm.
Damian went ahead to explain what followed his impulsive decision. “Then I was like, ‘probably shouldn’t have done that’. I remember a promoter was like ‘you might have to cover that one day’ so I went and tattooed this bat over it,” he said. The cover-up not only helped him build his individual personality but also kept his tribute secret yet respected in the eyes of everyone.
Other than this, ‘The Punishment’ has many other tattoos on various areas of his body. With multiple skulls inked on him, Damian Priest justifies the role that he plays in The Judgment Day.
