Dwayne Johnson is at the forefront of a lot of unwanted attention from the WWE Universe. Since Cody Rhodes was sidelined from his quest, fans have been outraged. Rhodes recently won the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble Match. Fans expected him to challenge Roman Reigns for a title rematch at WrestleMania 40. However, that did not happen.
Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns had a staredown inside the ring, implying that The Rock will face The Tribal Chief at the Grandest Stage of Them All rather than Cody. Meanwhile, The Rock vs. Reigns portion drew significant criticism from fans. As supporters rallied behind Rhodes, the hashtag “We Want Cody” began to trend on social media.
However, as a result of the Reigns, Rock, and Rhodes situation, Rock’s daughter Ava received death threats. Johnson’s daughter, Ava, recently shared two posts on her ‘X’ handle. In one message, she said, “Can ya’ll just leave me out of this ffs i’m busy running a SHOW”. In another one, she added, “death threats over a situation i have nothing to do with … bffr“.
Due to the death threats, Ava has deleted her X account and left social media. Despite the warning, fans continued to provide hate comments, which made Ava take this step. Fans expressed their disappointment, called out Cody Rhodes fans, and blamed them for the incident, claiming “Cody fans are the worst”.
Others talked about how Ava didn’t even have anything to do with the scene. It is certain that Ava wasn’t involved in the Cody-Rock-Roman as she is the current General Manager of WWE NXT. She didn’t want to be distracted by the unnecessary hate and threats, which is why she deleted her account.
Several WWE superstars came in support of Ava Raine
After Ava talked about the treatment she got from the fans, several superstars talked about the matter. Recently, WWE superstar Ricochet responded to her death threats. He used his ‘X’ account to reveal that he had previously told The Rock’s daughter that fans are toxic. “Told you they are toxic!” he wrote.
Along with Ricochet, another wrestler also supported Raine. The ex-star in concern is anyone but A.J. Francis, also known as Top Dolla. Francis recently used his ‘X‘ handle to comment on one of Ava’s postings. He showed his support for the young WWE superstar by writing, “You’re doing great, Ava.”

It is yet to be revealed when WWE management will take any action to stop the death threats against Johnson’s daughter. It remains to be seen whether The Rock will respond to the situation sooner rather than later. With that, it remains to be seen who will challenge The Tribal Chief for the coveted position.
