SUMMARY
- Michael Bisping speculates that Brock Lesnar could return to the Octagon for UFC 300 on April 13.
- Bisping highlighted the connection between the UFC and WWE, both owned by the same parent company.
Michael Bisping, the former Middleweight champion of the UFC, is not ruling out the possibility of Brock Lesnar’s surprising comeback to MMA at UFC 300. Lesnar, a UFC and WWE legend, famously headlined UFC 100 in July 2009 against Frank Mir and later secured a victory over Mark Hunt at UFC 200 after making his UFC comeback in 2016. However, he has not competed since then.
Bisping speculates that Lesnar, the UFC’s former Heavyweight Champion, could return to the Octagon for UFC 300 on April 13, considering the event currently lacks a main attraction. Moreover, UFC President Dana White has promised something significant.
“UFC 300, will we see Brock Lesnar on there again? It sounds stupid because Brock Lesnar is no spring chicken, right? He’s 46 years old,” Michael Bisping pondered on his YouTube channel. Bisping believes that fighters have extended their careers, citing Randy Couture’s example of fighting until around the age of 47.
“When there’s millions of dollars on the line, people will come and fight…. people would love to see Brock Lesnar stepping in there once again,” Bisping expressed.
Bisping emphasized Lesnar’s drawing power, stating, “Who would really push the needle in a massive way? Well. I said, Brock Lesnar. He’s only 46; he’s still a draw; people love him”.
Moreover, Bisping highlighted the connection between the UFC and WWE, both owned by the same parent company. He speculated that navigating the politics and contractual aspects between the two organizations would likely be manageable.
As of now, the prospect of Brock Lesnar’s return at UFC 300 remains speculative. But Bisping sees it as a plausible and exciting possibility, given the potential financial incentives and Lesnar’s continued popularity. It has happened before, so why not again?
Michael Bisping has selected Tom Aspinall as the opponent for Brock Lesnar at UFC 300
Michael Bisping does not feel that the UFC will have any difficulty formulating a contract to bring back Brock Lesnar for UFC 300. Now quoting Bisping’s words, “But who would the opponent be?”.
Bisping went on to propose Interim Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall as an ideal opponent for Lesnar. Aspinall is currently seeking an opponent for his next fight, and Bisping sees this matchup as a compelling option for Lesnar’s return.

Bisping further stated, “Call me crazy. Call me Tom Aspinall’s number one fanboy, but could you imagine Brock Lesnar vs. Tom Aspinall headlining UFC 300? Maybe it’s just wishful thinking. But Tom Aspinall-Brock Lesnar, that would just be mental. That is the type of thing I think the UFC are going to do”.
While Bisping’s excitement and speculation about Brock Lesnar’s return have stirred interest among MMA fans, it’s worth noting that Dana White has already ruled out Lesnar’s comeback for UFC 300. However, with Conor McGregor scheduled to fight in June, speculation continues to swirl around who will headline the UFC 300 event.
Bisping’s comments have ignited enthusiasm among MMA enthusiasts for the possibility of a Lesnar comeback. The suggested matchup against Tom Aspinall adds an intriguing element to the potential UFC 300 card.
Despite Dana White’s current stance, the unpredictability of the fight game keeps fans eagerly awaiting official announcements, and the prospect of Lesnar’s return remains a captivating topic within the MMA community.
