SUMMARY
- Brock Lesnar hasn't been seen in WWE since SummerSlam 2023, as he lost to Cody Rhodes at the event.
- In January 2024, The Beast was named in the Janel Grant lawsuit, and since then a lot of rumors have been circulating about his WWE career.
WWE did a wonderful job during night 1 of WrestleMania 40, as most of the matches on Saturday’s event delivered in a big way. After giving fans one of the best tag team matches in history during the main event of the show, Triple H also shared an important update about Brock Lesnar.
This happened at the post-show press conference, as The Game made an appearance to interact with the media. While doing so, Hunter was asked about The Beast, and he took the opportunity to clarify Lesnar’s status in the company after the s*x trafficking lawsuit against.
Answering the question, the WWE Chief Content Officer said, “At one point there was a conversation with Brock about Royal Rumble quite a long time ago. Right now Brock is home being Brock, and we’ll see where that leads to from here. The status is the same as it’s been before. Brock is not gone from WWE, he’s just home being Brock.” (Via: Cageside Seats)

These comments from Triple H have left the wrestling community excited, as they believe that this might be a hint that the rumored rift between the company and The Beast is no longer there. Moreover, it has left them wondering what’s next for Lesnar’s career in the industry, specifically the Stamford-based promotion.
WWE was trying to erase The Beast after Janel Grant’s allegations
The Game’s comments about the current status of The Beast seemed positive, but it’s also true that WWE was trying to erase The Beast after Janel Grant’s allegations. As Brock was named in the lawsuit against Vince McMahon, the Triple H-led promotion was desperately trying to distance itself from their veteran performer.
As soon as the pro wrestler was named in the s*x trafficking lawsuit, the company changed their plans for him. It all started when Lesnar’s spot in 2024’s Royal Rumble was given to NXT’s Bron Breakker, and The Beast Incarnate was completely removed from the special event.
After this, Brock Lesnar was replaced by John Cena in The 40 Years of WrestleMania display cover of the 2K24 video game. In fact, the organization went so far as to keep him away that the legendary in-ring star was not even on the list of playable characters in the game, and fans felt it was quite disrespectful.

Last but not least, Brock was also replaced in SmackDown’s opening video package on the February 9 episode. The package for any WWE show has a lot of superstars from the past and present, but Lesnar was removed from it, and LA Knight took his place in the video. All these moves clearly showed how keen the company was to eradicate The Beast.
Is WWE looking to bring back Brock Lesnar for a final run?
Despite all the different ways the Stamford-based promotion previously used to erase The Beast from their history, now it seems they’ve changed their mind. The reason for this is that WWE’s recent activities hint that it is probably looking to bring back Brock Lesnar for a final run.
This speculation initially started after the Triple H-led promotion restored Brock’s profile to the active roster of their official website. After this, Hunter’s remarks about Lesnar’s status with the company are what make it a real possibility that they might actually have plans for him.
Even though the pro wrestling company isn’t interested in bringing back Brock right now, their recent moves are probably an indication that the doors are always open. With this, it now remains to be seen what the future holds for the WWE veteran and when he will finally make a comeback to the promotion.
