Notably, Rahman Jr made a name for himself with an unblemished 12-0 record, challenging for the WBC-USNBC heavyweight title against Kenzie Morrison in 2022. Not only that, but he was also a sparring and training partner for Jake Paul. However, their alliance was short-lived with the two even set to face each other at one point. As it turns out, it was likely where things started to go downhill for the boxer.
Hasim Rahman Jr has had a tremendous fall from grace
Despite his fight against Jake Paul being projected to be a PPV hit and record MSG gate, the fight eventually fell through owing to a massive weight disparity. Safe to say, the disappointment from not being able to fight Paul carried over to his title fight against Morrison. However, things did not stop there, as Hasim Rahman Jr continued on a downward trajectory ever since.
After his fight against Jake Paul fell through, Rahman faced further disappointment after his fight against UFC legend Vitor Belfort fell through on two separate occasions. Thereafter, he would go on to finally get his next fight against another former UFC fighter Greg Hardy at MF & DAZN X Series 3. Shockingly, Hasim suffered a unanimous decision loss to Hardy.

Fans react to Hasim Rahman Jr’s latest knockout win
Recently, Hasim Rahman Jr marked his return to the ring at a Hype Boxing event in Tampa, Florida. Safe to say, the ‘event’ in question was nothing more than a ring placed in an open space in somebody’s backyard. However, the more interesting part was that Hasim’s ‘mystery’ opponent on the night was a Kanye West impersonator.
To put things into context, Hasim’s opponent was not even the only one of his kind, as a fight on the undercard included the likes of Not Logan Paul and Not Jake Paul as well. All things considered, it was a might fall from grace for the once heavily touted boxing talent. Although he easily dispatched his opponent, fans made comments like, “What are we doing man”, and “This is sad man”.
Further, others also chimed in by saying, “He went from being signed to headline Madison Square Garden vs Jake Paul… To fighting in someone’s garden”. As such, the comments sum up how the fans feel about the boxer these days. However, at 32 years old, there is more than enough time for Hasim Rahman Jr to make a career resurgence and try to live up to the lofty expectations placed on him.
