SUMMARY
- Bismack Biyombo suddenly fainted while cheering his teammates at the sidelines during a timeout verses the Blazers.
- Biyombo has been cleared of any serious medical issues.
Whatever happened to Bismach Biyombo during the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Moda Center was scary. The veteran center recently landed a deal with OKC and only just made his debut for the team. Over the last few seasons, Biyombo has proven himself as a vital role player. The Thunder are hoping to benefit from his experience while he comes off the bench.
However, four games into his stint with OKC, it seems as if they have hit a roadblock for now. He has been averaging 4.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game this season. OKC is pushing to maintain atop the Western Conference while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to assert himself above all the MVP candidates this season.
Bismack Biyombo has been cleared of any serious medical issue
Amidst a timeout during the OKC vs. Blazers game, Bismack Biyombo was on the sideline cheering his teammates. However, after dapping up SGA, the big man suddenly collapsed to the floor. A video replay clearly showed how Biyombo slowly lost consciousness and fainted in front of Mike Muscala. Luckily, he used every last bit of his strength to get back up and walk straight into the locker room.

On the way to the locker room, the 31-year-old was seen holding the back of his head. He most likely hurt himself while he made an impact on the floor. While this may seem like a scary medical emergency, the Thunder’s medical staff have cleared him of any serious issues. OKC immediately ruled him out of the game for precautionary measures.
Bismack Biyombo has never had any major medical issues
Bismack Biyombo has never had any serious medical issues ever since he joined the league in 2011. This is the first time anything of this sort has happened to him. OKC hasn’t revealed his condition yet or the extent of what could be the problem. However, a sudden incident like this is never a good sign. Athletes are prone to suffering from heart-related issues. Biyombo has probably experienced a concussion as far we can tell.
Either way, the Thunder did not fail to deliver on the court once again. Gilegous-Alexander led the team with 37 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists. Chet Holmgren scored 21 points along with 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Jalen Williams had an incredible 31-point game as well. The Portland Trail Blazers had it extremely close. But Anfernee Simons’ 29-point efforts weren’t enough.
