Aliyah Boston is now in a whole new phase in life as she was drafted No.1 overall during the 2023 WNBA Draft. Being selected literally above everyone else comes with a lot of pressure. Several players have folded under the pressure of expectations. Athletes don’t often bring out their best versions after going pro. But it seems as though Boston has her eyes set on the prize, to become one of the greatest WNBA players ever.
The Indiana Fever adopted her into their family and there couldn’t have been a more perfect match. Aliyah is well known for her outstanding defensive presence on the court, which earned her a good reputation. She was named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 and won the NCAA title the same year. Boston was dubbed the NCAA’s Most Outstanding Player as well for her excellence.
On entering the WNBA, Aliyah will face adversity at its worst. But the young star is determined to work things out and be the best at her job. She has more than enough experience to know how competition works. Boston averaged an impressive 14.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game in college, along with 2.4 blocks as well. Being as great as she is, Aliyah has certainly gotten herself a couple of great endorsements. Not to mention her upcoming contract with the WNBA.
