Everyone has an escape route from their everyday life and so did Nikola Jokic. During his first couple of seasons in the league, things were fairly different as the Joker was criticized about his weight and lack of athleticism. Even today, he gets a lot of backlash for being the least entertaining player on the court. However, he consistently manages to put up tremendous numbers which means he’s doing something right.
The Denver Nuggets star was a big-time gamer back in the day. Most NBA players spend their free time gaming. NBA 2K and Warzone are two of the most popular ones right now. Nikola Jokic revealed that he was a dedicated gamer along with his close friend at one point in time. He claimed that Counter-Strike and League of Legends were his games of choice.
There ya go, Nuggets Nation.
Jokić is playing League of Legends
(but not right now because he has a daughter)

However, he was quick to make his audience understand that being a father comes first for him. He said, “Not right now, I have a daughter,” on being asked if he still played. In all honesty, Jokic probably does not find much time to play video games even because of his tight NBA Schedule as well. Games often take place every alternate day and players travel a lot during various stretches of the season.
Nikola Jokic and his daughter have a savage ‘ring’ gesture
Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray have become an extremely tight duo on the court. But when the Joker is away from the game, he makes a great team with his wife Natalija. They have a daughter named Ognjena who is only a few years old. Jokic shares a very good bond with his daughter as both of them always exchange hand gestures following his games.

The hand gesture signals that they are wearing a ring. This recently blew up on social media after the Nuggets’ great season. Fans believe that Jokic is trying to say he will win a ring but his justification is completely different. Jokic revealed that the gesture is in reference to one of Ognjena’s favorite songs and she loves signaling it to him as well.

The former 2x MVP has had a great season so far. He was on pace to win his third straight MVP award but it ultimately went to Joel Embiid. The Joker averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game throughout the 2022-23 season. He is certainly moving forward at an insanely high pace and despite all the criticism, the Serbian giant is one of the best players in the NBA at the moment.
