There is a major ongoing debate about who the greatest basketball player is, LeBron James or Michael Jordan. This has never been easy to sort out especially due to what both individuals have contributed to the game. For several years, the world has been divided on this matter as James continues to add miles onto his resume. Despite being as old as he is, he’s shown no signs of decline.
Last season, he had one of his best stints as an individual player and as a leader of the Los Angeles Lakers. LA had an extremely disappointing regular season as they faced major roster issues and injuries. After a couple of important tweaks by bringing in strong defensive backups and shooters, the Lakers shot through the stars.

Throughout the regular season, LeBron James kept his focus on playing high levels of basketball. He averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game during the regular season. The Lakers eventually made it to the playoffs, which was a miracle out of the blue. James put up 24.5 points only to get shot down by the Denver Nuggets during the Western Conference Finals.
Rich Paul calls Stephen A. Smith’s lie
Amidst all the drama, people are still trying to side against LeBron James. He is one of the most accomplished athletes in the sports community. But NBA Analyst Stephen A. Smith had some words for James and his agent. He claimed that he had James placed very high on the list of basketball GOATs. But the only issue was that LeBron stood second to the Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan.
He added that he didn’t want to talk to James’ agent Rich Paul if he believed in placing the King No.2 overall. Smith said, “Get the f**k out of here… That’s exactly what I said to him, I don’t want to talk to you no more… You can’t talk to me about that.” The agent claimed that Smith never said these things to him calling out the analyst’s lies. He asked the hosts of the podcast, “You really wanna ask that question?”

Be continued, “Come on man, anybody in the world knows me, he’s not going to say that to me.” He went on to challenge Smith would have never had the guts to say such things to him. As for LeBron James, this does not bring an end to the debate. James will return next season to win another title.
