LeBron James‘ most recent performance for the Lakers has backfired against him and turned into accusations. As many fans might be aware, King James is in Year 21 of his NBA career and continues to stun the NBA world with elite performances in order to carry his team to victory.
Considering that LeBron is supposed to be at the very back of his career, the very fact that he is able to score 37 points has led fans to believe that he is taking some form of PEDs. To those who do not know, PEDs are performance-enhancing drugs such as steroids that allow athletes to heal or grow at abnormal rates.
With that being said, let us take a closer look at the numbers he has been putting up this season and try to understand why fans believe that King James is taking some form of PEDs.
Fans continue to accuse LeBron James of using PEDs
For a normal NBA player who has been in the league for more than 20 years, it would be nothing short of a miracle to average more than 10 points per game. LeBron easily clears this standard considering that he is averaging 26.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.5 assists for his team.

While one might assume that his efficiency has gone down, at the very least, King James is shooting 58.6% from the field and 39.7% from the three-point line. He managed to make 14 out of 19 shots in his most recent game against the Rockets and is averaging almost 30 points a game over the past 5 games.
Based on these numbers, fans have no choice but to question if he is truly natural, “Yall really think he’s not on PEDs?”

This would not be the first time that King James and his association with PEDs has come under question. It might interest fans to know that several prominent personalities have accused LeBron of taking something.
LeBron has previously been accused of using PEDs
Although LeBron has never officially failed a drug test conducted by the league, he has been accused of taking PEDs throughout his career. The accusations have dramatically increased in recent times since he continues to play at a high level despite growing older.
Joe Rogan and Bradley Martyn are two relatively well-known celebrities who voiced their opinion that LeBron is taking some form of performance-enhancing drug. However, these are nothing more than accusations with no real evidence at this point in time.

To those who believe that LeBron is taking some form of PED, the only way to know for certain is if he fails a league-conducted drug test. Moreover, the NBA should be willing to let this hypothetical scandal go public for the people to find out about it.
