Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry shooting slump continues as he and his team continue to struggle. Tonight again Curry had a bad shooting night. He shot a mere 5 of 20 from the field and just 1 of 13 from downtown and ended up with just 13 points.

Even though the Golden State Warriors barely won the game by 94-92 against the struggling Utah Jazz. The struggles for Curry have gotten out of hand. This may be one of the worst shooting woes a superstar had for this long.

Stephen Curry has been very frustrated with himself lately. When he was asked if his shooting mechanics have felt off, to which Curry replied that

“Who gives a damn about excuses, You either make shots or miss shots. I have got to make shots”.

Steph Curry when asked if he feels like his shooting mechanics have felt off/different: “Who gives a damn about excuses … You either make shots or miss shots. I’ve got to start making shots.”

Will Stephen Curry blow up like last season in April?

The 2 times MVP before his shooting struggles was the favorite to win the MVP alongside Kevin Durant. However, his slump has dug down so deep that it may be hard to get out from.

It seems like after breaking the 3-point record, Curry just stopped making his shots. His struggles started when he tried to break Ray Allen’s 3 point record and hasn’t been himself since then.

For the past 10 games, Steph has been averaging just 22 points per game. He is shooting 33% from downtown and 38% from the field. Even his free throws are down as he is shooting just 87% from the arc.

Last year Curry was able to put up video game types of numbers. In the month of April where he averaged 37 points on 46% from behind the arc and 51% from the field. He became unstoppable, anything he took went in.

Thus, it can be safe to say that Curry will return to his usual 40+ shooting percentage from behind the arc. However, there is also a  possibility of him taking to another level, he has the capability of averaging 30+ points efficiently as he has proven before.

Curry is one of a kind player and the moment he finds his shooting stroke back, the league will be in trouble.
