The Hawks star has been averaging 26.4 points and 10.8 assists in the 51 games he has played in this season. Since Trae leads the Hawks in points scored and assists, there is no denying that his return could fuel them with some much-needed momentum before heading into the play-in tournament.
Even if Trae gets back to his team looking completely healthy and in peak condition, fans are left wondering what the ceiling for Atlanta looks like this season.
How far can the Hawks go with Young on the roster?
At the moment, the Hawks have no chance to secure the 7th or 8th seed in the East. That means they will certainly have to go through 2 single elimination play-in games in order to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. Under the assumption that they win, the Hawks will face the Boston Celtics for the first round of the playoffs.
