A string of events surrounding Zion Williamson has NBA fans theorizing and throwing out assumptions. Some of us might already be aware that a woman named Moriah Mills has been publicly attacking Zion for getting her pregnant and then avoiding the inadvertent responsibilities of being a father.
This is undoubtedly a significant amount of negative publicity that the New Orleans Pelicans star was likely not expecting. Nonetheless, his actions following these accusations have fans opining that he could have something to hide. Although it is likely to be mere speculation, let us still take a better look and find out what is going on.
Did Zion Williamson partner with Jefferson Parish schools to clean up his image?
While one could argue that all of this is nothing more than a mere coincidence, the fact remains that Williamson looks guilty in the eyes of fans. We have heard nothing much about his activities off the court throughout this season. Therefore, it surprised a few to find out that the New Orleans Pelicans made a convenient post in the midst of Zion’s controversy with Moriah Mills.
“Zion Williamson has partnered with Jefferson Parish Schools for Summer Bridge Program. The Program will provide students with additional opportunities for accelerated learning and growth during the summer.”

Williamson has shown himself to be quite a generous and giving personality. There have even been reports that he spent out of his own salary to ensure that the arena workers would be given salaries during the pandemic. Therefore, it is quite possible that Zion did take part in this initiative.
However, fans seem to think there is an ulterior agenda. After all, the timing is definitely suspicious. The post came out just as Mills’ Twitter accusations began to gain momentum. That has led a few fans to opine that his philanthropy is just a marketing move, “This is damage control…ain’t it?”

There were also several others who shared their suspicion over the timing. A positive post being shared would certainly slow down the amount of negativity that Zion would face over his parenthood scandal. Perhaps the fans are right on this one and the recent news was publicized to sway public opinion.
