The Team USA 2023 FIBA World Cup roster is stacked with heavy hitters that dominated the NBA this past season. Over the years, Team USA has earned a remarkable reputation. Dating back to when Michael Jordan played, through Kobe Bryant and LeBron James’ stint together, and now with the youngsters taking over, USA has arguably been the best. The country has consistently proven that it has some of the best players in basketball in the world.
Back in 2019, the team failed to crack the top spots finishing seventh in the world rankings. Back then, the team was led by Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Khris Middleton, and Donovan Mitchell. Even though they had a great lineup featuring a few other talented pieces, Team USA fell against France during the first leg of the Championship Bracket. They had a chance to rank top five but fell against Serbia as well. Spain eventually won the gold medal and Ricky Rubio was named the MVP.
The Team USA 2023 FIBA World Cup roster is looking forward to making a major comeback. Especially after having several successful runs in the past. USA had a great run during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics which is a great sign that they’ve carried the same momentum with a new lineup. Steve Kerr will be the Head Coach this time, as Erik Spoelstra, Ty Lue, and Gonzaga’s Mark Few serve as his assistants.
Team USA 2023 FIBA World Cup Roster will feature Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson, Jalen Jackson Jr., Mikal Bridges, and Brandon Ingram
