Caitlin Clark had the entire world on its feet after she broke the NCAA’s all-time scoring record for the women’s division. Clark has been nothing short of phenomenal over the last couple of months. And she was bound to set a new goal for her successors to beat. The 22-year-old is currently on a historic run as she hurdles to the end of her college days. But that won’t stop her from achieving more before she hangs up her No.22 jersey in the NCAA.
Clark surpassed Kelsey Plum on the scoring leaders list with an impressive 49-point performance against Michigan. The point guard sealed the deal with a deep-range three-pointer during the first half. Several prominent individuals including Barack Obama congratulated her. The former president said, “Congrats to @CaitlinClark22, the greatest scorer in the history of women’s college basketball! It’s been fun watching you and the @IowaWBB team this season.”

LSU giant Angel Reese appreciates Caitlin Clark
The 2022-23 NCAA Campaign one was of Caitlin Clark’s biggest years. With back-to-back historic performances, she led the Hawkeyes to the season finale against the LSU Tigers. Unfortunately, Angel Reese from LSU and her team had the better night, eliminating the Hawkeyes and taking home the title.
Reese posted on X saying, “Congratulations @CaitlinClark22. KEEP BREAKING RECORDS & MAKING HER-STORY!” Reese and Clark put on a show against each other last year. Both of them had a couple of iconic moments throughout the series as well.
“I’m gonna go on the record and say she’s the best female collegiate player ever.” 🔥

Reese’s mentor and former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal dubbed Clark as the greatest collegiate player ever. On Inside the NBA, he said, “She’s incredible, congratulations to her and her family. She’s phenomenal. I’m gonna go ahead and say she’s the best female collegiate player ever.” To earn respect from Shaq is a massive honor only Reese gets to share with Clark.
Caitlin Clark thanked her teammates and coaches after shattering the all-time scoring record
Obviously, breaking the all-time scoring record is a big deal to many. Caitlin Clark was elated about her achievement and the media got to interview her following the first half of the Iowa vs. Michigan game. She said, “It’s cool. It’s cool to be in the same realm as a lot of really, really good players. I’m lucky to do it because I have really good teammates and really good coaches and a great support system that surrounds me.”
Clark currently stands less than a hundred points away from breaking a scoring record in the NCAA that has stood for over fifty years. In 1970, Pete Maravich, a 3x NCAA scoring champion set the all-time record with 3,667 points. Maravich, who was also a former NBA player will potentially be surpassed by Clark in a couple of games.
