NBA fans were caught off guard to find out that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander threw shots at Stephen Curry with his latest Instagram post. As we all know, Shai is a young and upcoming star with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team has done quite well to start off this NBA season after finally getting back Chet Holmgren.
The OKC Thunder recently faced off against the Golden State Warriors for two games in a row. To the surprise of many NBA experts, the team managed to win both games and expressed their dominance over the 2022 NBA champions.
While these were just two regular season games, SGA made a post on social media that appeared to be taunting Curry. With that being said, let us take a closer look and find out more.

Many of them instantly reacted when he made a post including several highlights in which SGA got the better of Steph. There was a clip where he crossed Curry over and scored. Another clip had Shai blocking Steph’s three-pointer with authority. SGA included a caption, “I was feeling like e-40 in the Bay, so i had to go dumbbb.”

SGA’s post generated quite a lot of attention from fans. Especially since Curry is a beloved star in the eyes of the basketball community. Now that Shai has done this, fans might want to compare him and Steph in order to see how they stack up.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Steph Curry’s play styles compared
It wouldn’t really be fair to compare SGA and Steph head-to-head. Although they are both listed as point guards, Shai is 6’6 and a full 3 inches taller than Steph. He has been playing well for the OKC Thunder this season by averaging 29.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.8 assists. SGA has also been shooting 53.5% from the field and 36% from the three-point line.

In comparison, Steph has been averaging 30.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He has been shooting an efficient 47.9% from the field and 44.7% from the three-point line.

The numbers speak for themselves. SGA might be the better mid-range and inside scorer, facilitator, and rebounder when compared to Curry. However, the Warriors star has Shai beat in terms of scoring and long-distance shooting.
