Kyrie Irving has been making waves across the NBA world. As fans will be aware by now, he suddenly demanded a trade from the Brooklyn Nets before the upcoming trade deadline. Despite his eccentric behavior, there is no denying that the Nets star has an abundance of suitors across the league.
Fans remember that Irving won the 2016 NBA title and had multiple runs to the NBA Finals when playing alongside LeBron James, who is now with the Los Angeles Lakers. Given that the team is struggling and fans want LeBron’s involvement in the acquisition of his old teammate. Let us take a look at what they are saying and how much validity it could hold.
Fans flood LeBron James’ social media and ask him to recruit Kyrie Irving for the Los Angeles Lakers
A few people feel that the Lakers fanbase is quite toxic. Despite the team’s lack of success, fans are always the first to defend the franchise and remind us of its past legacy. These same fans are desperate for a move that will turn the Lakers into contenders and have flooded LeBron James’ social media to voice their opinions.

What makes this somewhat sad is the fact that all LeBron did was share a post appreciating his younger son Bronny, who is also evolving into an elite athlete as the years go on. Nonetheless, this did not stop fans from claiming that LeBron has better priorities and should be focused on getting Irving to the Los Angeles Lakers.

While there is no denying that the Lakers could undoubtedly use Kyrie, perhaps fans are under the impression that LeBron’s voice holds greater strength with the Lakers’ management than it actually does. Therefore, fans feel he should use his powers and help the franchise become legitimate contenders for this NBA season.

Some fans have even gone far enough to edit a poster of Kyrie with both Anthony Davis and LeBron James wearing a Lakers uniform. One even said he regretted that LeBron chose to tweet about something else, other than the trade that the whole world is discussing.

As most of us know, merely wishing for something to happen probably doesn’t make a big difference in the NBA. Even if LeBron wants Kyrie or Irving wants to take his talents to Los Angeles, both the teams’ management have to come to terms on a fair trade. At the end of the day, that is quite unlikely to happen, as we saw with Kevin Durant at the start of this NBA season.
