After retiring in 1989, Abdul-Jabbar somewhat remained away from the headlines. However, his recent health update of breaking his hip after falling has left fans and his former teammates worried and they are praying for his speedy recovery.
Notably, the former NBA player’s representative Deborah Morales revealed that Abdul-Jabbar fell on the floor when he was attending a concert. Paramedics immediately came to provide the first AID and he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, Morales conveyed that Abdul-Jabbar is grateful and appreciates the support that was extended by the Los Angeles Fire Department. In addition to this, the 6x NBA championship winner values the “amazing medical team and doctors at UCLA Hospital who are taking great care of (him).” Notably, fans are hopeful that he will recover as he battled prostate cancer and chronic myeloid leukemia in the past.
Fans and his former teammates have stormed the internet with wishes and prayers for the speedy recovery of Abdul-Jabbar. Praying for the Captain!” Fans have been sharing Johnson’s tweet in large numbers.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that Magic Johnson reacted to the health update of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The two had undeniable chemistry on the court and shared a good relationship off the court as well. They played together for a decade and made the Los Angeles Lakers team a more celebrated one. Johnson and Abdul-Jabbar were teammates from 1979 till 1989.
Furthermore, they won five NBA championships together and became one of the best duos in the history of the league. Individually, Abdul-Jabbar has six championships to his name, whereas, Johnson has five. Both of them had extraordinary skills that complemented well with the other.
