SUMMARY
- LeBron James was randomly approached by a fan who got past security.
- The 4x NBA Champion was visibly upset while security escorted the fan away.
LeBron James is someone people would always go crazy over in public if they ever crossed paths. As a celebrity, it would be extremely hard to go through your entire day without having fans sprawl over you. Such individuals always have security guards around them to help avoid risky situations. However, public figures simply hate living a life that’s always under the scrutiny of the public eye.
While the Los Angeles Lakers toppled the Oklahoma City Thunder, the 4x NBA Champion got caught up in an awkward situation. A random fan got past security and threw their arms around LeBron while he was on the bench. James was upset as he asked security to escort the fan out of the arena. The internet reacted to the situation saying, “Now the security guards boutta get traded. No one messes with LeGM.” Another fan said, “I’m shocked he didn’t flop.”

While the internet resorted to trolling LeBron James, this is a serious matter that needs to be addressed. Over the years, fans have gotten way out of line in certain scenarios. While it isn’t wrong to ask for the attention of players, it is an issue to walk all over their personal space. Fans are required to show a certain level of respect as well. On the other hand, the security guards weren’t too great at their job last night.
LeBron James and the Lakers remain silent over the incident
It is quite surprising that LeBron James has not expressed his thoughts on the incident just yet. The Lakers have not addressed what had happened either. But this could have been a much riskier situation under any other circumstance. For all we know, the Lakers superstar would have had to deal with a threat.
But the night did not end on a sour note for the Lakers as they beat the Thunder 112-105. While both teams worked hard on the court, LA pushed a little more than the Thunder. Their bench players also did a great job anchoring the team during rotation. Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and Christian Wood had a combined total of 38 points.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis worked the offense scoring 52 points against the Thunder. Davis also grabbed 15 rebounds to assist the Lakers on defense. After two consecutive losses, the Lakers are back with another victory. Hopefully, they maintain the same momentum moving ahead in the second half of the regular season.
