The Golden State Warriors hosted the New York Knicks on Monday, March 18, 2024. The Knicks were injury plagued with several of their key players including Mitchell Robinson, Julius Randle, and O.G. Anunoby sidelined. However, they managed to pull-off a fairly comfortable win 119-112 with the Warriors never gaining a lead.

The New York Knicks were far quicker off the blocks as they raced out to an 18-4 lead early on. The Warriors stayed close throughout the game with the help of Stephen Curry, Jonathan Kuminga, and Trayce Jackson-Davis. However, they could never earn a lead. The Knicks reached a 15-point lead in the second quarter that came down to four early in the fourth. The Warriors missed out on their chance to capitalize and lost the match.

The New York Knicks were led by some strong performances by Jalen Brunson and Miles McBride amidst the absence of their key players. McBride played tight defense early against Warriors skipper Curry as the Warriors could not score for almost the first four minutes of the game. According to NBA.com, this was the longest game-opening scoring drought for them in more than three years.

Both the teams will soon be in action again. Knicks visit the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night and hope to cintune their winning run. Meanwhile, the Warriors will be hosting again. Steph Curry & co. will welcome Memphis Grizzlies, who also faced defeat tonight against Sacramento Kings 121-111.
