SUMMARY
- Draymond Green recently interviewed Klay Thompson on his Bleacher Report podcast.
- Thompson revealed that losing Green staggered his routine alongside Steph Curry.
Not too long ago, Bleacher Report announced that Klay Thompson was scheduled to make an appearance on The Draymond Green Show. From what it seems, the interview may have a couple of interesting segments. Thompson will be making his first appearance with Green on the podcast while Steph Curry dropped by just over a year ago. This Warriors holds many stories and takes about the league.
Thompson has been the biggest topic of discussion on the Warriors team including Draymond Green. Dub Nation has gone through multiple ups and downs with this trio in particular. And this season, it has been one of the worst runs the Warriors have ever had since the trio came into existence. Earlier this season, Green was suspended for behaving erratically on the court, Curry endured a couple of injuries, and Thompson hasn’t been the same offensive threat.
Klay Thompson speaks on Draymond Green’s importance for the Warriors
Green has had a history of being overly physical or just a menace on the floor. Earlier this season, he was suspended after being ejected thrice for physically confronting Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Jusuf Nurkic. Green was suspended indefinitely leaving the Warriors without a lead facilitator and defensive anchor. Green asked Klay Thompson to share his thoughts on when he got suspended for 12 games. But he took an additional four games to get back into competitive mode.

Thompson said, “When you’re not out there, it’s like a piece of us is gone. And, me and Steph are really nice guys, like, probably too nice, you know? We could never be ourselves and have the freedom we do on the court without you… So, it does hurt. It could be disappointing in the moment, but it will never take away from what’s ahead of us and what we’ve done. So, at the end of the day, we just need you.” The Warriors went 8-8 during that period.
Could this be the last season Draymond Green and the Splash Brothers play together?
This would be quite the controversial take, however, Lexie Brown believes that this might be the end of the Warriors trio. During an episode of Gil’s Arena, the WNBA star gave a small prediction on how the Warriors will bounce back into dominance. “I don’t know where they can move Dray, so I think Klay can control his destiny at this point… But it’s over with, it’s done.”
Lexie believes they might move on from Green soon and create an opening for better athletes to join the team. And if they don’t find value in Klay Thompson, she believes he has the power to go anywhere based on the success he has experienced. Former NBA player Brandon Jennings also agreed with what Brown said. But the Warriors Big 3 has expressed their desire to stay together until the end.
