LeBron James recently complimented Dennis Schroder over his latest accomplishment on social media. To the fans who might be unaware of ongoing events, Team Germany managed to win the 2023 FIBA World Cup after defeating Team USA and Team Serbia in the semi-finals and finals matchup. Since Schroder is from Germany, there is no denying that he played a role in the success that the team recently saw.
Some NBA fans might remember that LeBron James played with Schroder at the Los Angeles Lakers for a couple of seasons. Dennis was recently traded to the Toronto Raptors and is now no longer a part of the Lakers.

LeBron James praises Dennis Schroder for his 2023 FIBA World Cup victory
If anyone would know what it takes to ultimately emerge victorious, it would be LeBron James. While he has lost and been eliminated a few times in his career, there is no denying that King James knows how hard it must have been for Germany to win the FIBA World Cup. After all, LeBron has plenty of exposure to international basketball from his time with Team USA.

After news broke out that Schroder and his squad managed to defeat Serbia and win the title, LeBron was one of the earliest responders and even shared Dennis’ latest accomplishment on social media. King James included a caption, “Yessirrrr!!! That’s TUFF @ds17_fg.”

Although LeBron could have been a little bit more elaborate in terms of sending out a complimentary message, the flurry of emojis with the tweet has made his feelings and sense of elation quite clear. It is also quite possible that he is happy for his former teammate considering that they never managed to win a championship together when on the Lakers.
At the end of the day, it is always nice to see NBA stars give each other their due respect and acknowledgment. Even though Schroder is no longer on his team, King James appears to remain supportive and likely values his relationship with Dennis.
