In Embiid’s first game after a 29-game absence, he recorded 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists in 30 minutes to help the Sixers claim victory over the Thunder. This was followed by another commendable performance against the Heat wherein he added 29 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in 32 minutes. Furthermore, the recent game vs Grizzlies saw him record a sensational 30 points with 12 rebounds and 1 assist.

However, Embiid’s return has been nothing short of phenomenal and has prompted the former Sixers point guard, Patrick Beverley to talk about the team’s situation. He stated, “Having Joel any [expletive] game, you’re one of the top team teams having him healthy.” Beverley went on to say that it’s just one game and like March Madness anything can happen.
The Sixers had to incur a $100,000 fine after Joel Embiid’s return

Turns out, it was because the Sixers violated injury reporting rules as they changed the status of Embiid’s return from out to questionable in the late afternoon. As per the rules, the team is required to give an injury report by 5 p.m. local time on the day before a game. Despite all of this, Embiid‘s return has been fruitful for the Sixers and fans await to witness his future performances.
